Madrid, April 1, 2025.- Sales of electrified vehicles (electric and plug-in hybrids, comprising cars, quadricycles, commercial and industrial vehicles and buses) increase 67.6% in March, with 17,814 sales, which represent 13.15% of the market. In the first three months, there have been a total of 43,134 sales, 47.43% more than in 2024 and 13% of the market.
A figure that maintains the positive rhythm of electrification in Spain since it started 2025 and that from the sector is confident that it will be promoted after the announcement today of the commissioning of the Moves Plan, endowed with 400 million euros, with retroactive and duration until December 31, 2025. to which the extension of the deduction of 15% of the IRPF is added by the purchase of electric vehicles. Both measures claimed from ANFAC and valued very positively.
As for the registration of alternative vehicles (electrified, hybrid and gas), they increase 56.7% in the month, with 73,713 units sold and represent 54.41% of the market. In the total of the year, 176,449 sales accumulate, 41.5% more than the previous year.
Electric vehicles – zero label
Sales of pure electric vehicles increased by 85.4% in March, with 9,228 units registered. It represents 6.81% of the market share in the month. In the whole year, the sales of these vehicles total 22,028 units, 64.2% more than in the same period of the previous year. The accumulated of the year quota is 6.66%
Plugable hybrid vehicles – zero label
Sales of plug -in hybrid vehicles grew by 51.9% during March and reach 8,586 units registered. Represents 6.34% of the market share. In the whole of the year, the sales of these vehicles total 21,106 units, 33.2% more than in the same period of the previous year. The quota of the accumulated of the year is 6.38%.
Hybrid vehicles – Eco Tag
Sales of non -plug -in hybrid vehicles increase 44.4% during March, and reach 49,226 units enrolled in this month. It represents 36.33% of the market share in March. In the accumulated of the year, the sales of these vehicles accumulate 121,944 units, 35.9% more than in the same period of the previous year. The quota of the total of the year is 36.88%.
GAS – ECO LABEL VEHICLES
Sales of gas vehicles grew by 187.63% in March with 6,673 units registered representing 4.93% of the market share in the month. In the whole of the year, the sales of these vehicles accumulate 14,371 units, 83.9% more than in the same period of the previous year. The quota of the accumulated of the year is 4.35%.
Touring market
The registrations of electrified, hybrid and gas cars increase their sales in March 57.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, until 72,104 units delivered. In March, they represent 6 out of 10 sales of the total market. On the other hand, in the total of the year, 62.76% are of this type of cars, with 175,320 units and a growth of 42%.
Regarding the electrified tourism market, in March they achieve strong growth of their sales, with an increase of 68.8%, with 16,474 units sold, until reaching 14.11% of the total market of the month. Pure electric (BEV) grow 93% to 8,101 units in the month, as well as plug -in hybrids (PHEV) that increase their sales by 50.6% and 8,373 new units. In the total of the year, sales of electrified cars total 39,741 units, 46.8% more than the previous year and 14.2% of the general market.

With March, chaining the third growing month, 14% of the market is already pure and plug-in hybrid.
