Fleet EV charging installations need smart controllers, and as a handful of industry execs recently told Charged, these processors are increasingly located on-site rather than in the cloud.
i-charging’s new e-flow is a local controller designed to seamlessly manage and optimize the operation of EV charging installations, especially those relying on satellite units or installed in overhead structures.
As the central unit of the charging system, e-flow acts as the hidden intelligence behind every charging session, connecting, controlling and optimizing the entire charging process. It integrates the features of the company’s blueberry range of chargers, including dynamic power allocation, optional user authentication, metering, and payment systems.
Each e-flow unit can support up to four charging plugs, and features seamless integration with OCPP backend systems and the company’s digital tool, my.i-charging.
The product will be available in the second half of this year.
