The UK pricing for the upcoming Renault 4 E-Tech electric has been announced, with the crossover set to be priced from £26,995 ($36,350 / €32,181) when order books open in July. At launch, the EV will be available in three trim levels: evolution, techno, and iconic.
Alongside the initial vehicle price, a VIP access R Pass will also be offered for £150 ($202 / €178), that will allow customers to order the Renault 4 E-Tech electric ahead of the general public. Three years of free servicing will also be provided to R Pass customers when they finance the EV through the Renault-owned Mobilize Financial Services.
Inside, Renault’s OpenR Link system is offered standard across the range, spearheaded by a 10.1-inch central touchscreen that will also be compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The techno and iconic trims extend the scope of OpenR Link further with Google services built-in, including Google Maps with charging-optimized route planning as well as the option to download a range of apps from the Google Play store. On these models, a 10-inch digital driver information display will be offered alongside the central display.
Powering the EV is a 52-kWh battery, which itself supports the car’s 150 hp (110 kW) electric motor with 180 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque. This setup, in turn, allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 8.2 seconds and provide a maximum driving range of 247 miles (397 km). Equipped with a 100 kW DC charger, Renault says that its new electric crossover can be recharged from 15% to 80% in 30 minutes. An 11 kW AC charger can also be used to fully recharge the EV in 4 hours and 51 minutes.
In addition to this standard offering, Renault confirmed that up to 26 ADAS features will be available for the car. Among these features are a rear occupant safe exit alert, active driver assist (combining adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go and lane centering assist), as well as blind spot monitoring and hands-free parking. The Renault 4 E-Tech electric also includes My Safety Shield, which allows drivers to activate their preferred settings at the touch of a button.
