Munich. The morning starters have completed their second round at the BMW International Open (2 – 6 July, GC München Eichenried). Due to a thunderstorm warning, play began with a delay of 1:45 hours. Sharing the clubhouse lead at 9 under par are Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa and the two Englishmen Jordan Smith and Daniel Brown.
Once again, the German group featuring Marcel Siem, Martin Kaymer and Nicolai von Dellingshausen was in the spotlight for fans. Especially Siem impressed on Friday morning, delivering a brilliant eagle on the 18th hole, followed by four birdies. After two rounds, he sits at seven under par, placing him in a tie for fifth on the leaderboard.
Today also brings the cut decision. Currently, the cut line stands at one under par. Kaymer (-4) will safely continue into the weekend, while von Dellingshausen (+2) misses the cut and sees his tournament come to an end.
