New EV charging hub with 60 ports opens at Denver’s Ball Arena

Denver’s Ball Arena, home of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth, has opened a new EV charging hub with a total of 60 charging ports.

Located in Ball Arena’s Camry South Lot, the new charging hub “will be available to fans during games and events.” Ball Arena is located near several major road connections in downtown Denver, with convenient access to Interstate 25 and light rail service.

As of this writing, it isn’t clear whether charging will be available only to event attendees, or to the wider public. The hub’s operator, Flash Parking, says only that the chargers will be available “during the 250 events Ball Arena typically hosts throughout the year.” According to Plugshare, there are 60 Level 2 J1772 ports, and charging costs $0.45/kWh.

“This EV charging hub and our partnership with Flash exemplifies our commitment to sustainability, enhancing the fan experience, and supporting our community,” said Matt Bell, Senior VP of Venue Operations at Ball Arena.

“Denver is embracing the future of transportation, and Ball Arena is setting the standard for how entertainment venues can support that transition,” said Matt McCaffree, VP and General Manager at Flash Parking.
