AXISCADES Secures Defence Electronics Orders Across Airborne, Naval, and Radar Programs

AXISCADES Technologies Limited, a company specializing in electronics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence applications, has secured new defence electronics orders through its subsidiary units. The contracts span airborne, naval, and radar systems and have been awarded by major Indian defence research laboratories and public sector undertakings.

The orders involve the design, development, and supply of advanced electronic subsystems for indigenous defence platforms currently under development. These include upgrades to fighter aircraft, modernization of naval systems, and long-range surveillance radar programs. The total value of the contracts is estimated at approximately ₹600 crore, with execution expected over the next three to five years, covering phases from development and prototyping to full-scale production.

Among the key projects included in the order book is the VIRUPAKSHA (AESA) Radar Program, for which AXISCADES will design and supply critical components such as the Exciter Unit, Receiver Unit, and Antenna Beam Control Motherboard. This AESA radar system is intended to replace the existing Russian-made radar on the Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft, enhancing its air and ground surveillance capabilities.

AXISCADES will also deliver cutting-edge Transmit-Receive (TR) modules for S-Band Surveillance Radars, which are designed to improve target detection, tracking accuracy, and signal integrity in long-range surveillance operations.

The company is contributing to the development of Digital Beam Forming (DBF) units for the Long-Range Battle Management Radar (LRBMR), known as KUSHA. This S-band radar has a detection range exceeding 500 km and is engineered to support multi-target engagement and comprehensive battlefield awareness.

In the naval domain, AXISCADES is developing and delivering the Homing Receiver for the Electric Heavy Weight Torpedo (EHWT), a next-generation submarine-launched anti-submarine warfare system that enables autonomous target acquisition.

Additionally, the company has secured a production-scale contract for the delivery of various sonar subsystems used in submarine platforms, reinforcing its role in undersea warfare electronics and expanding its presence in naval defence programs.

C. Manikandan, Chief Technology Officer at AXISCADES, stated that the new contracts reflect the company’s capabilities in radar, sonar, and signal processing technologies. “These engagements underscore our integration within India’s defence R&D and production ecosystem,” he said.

AXISCADES Technologies Limited, headquartered in Bengaluru, operates globally with offices in France, Germany, Denmark, the United States, and Canada. With over 3,000 employees across 17 locations, the company provides engineering and product development services across aerospace, defence, and electronics domains.
