TVS Motor Company Launches Annual Design Honours Platform for Indian Mobility Solutions

TVS Motor Company announced the launch of ‘TVS Indus’ Design Honours on August 4, 2025, establishing an annual platform to nurture design talent and develop future mobility solutions rooted in Indian context, with registrations opening immediately and submissions due by October 6, 2025.

The initiative targets Indian residents including students, young professionals, and design enthusiasts to create mobility concepts spanning monowheel, two-wheeler, and three-wheeler formats. The 2025 edition focuses on four regional themes – Thar, Sahyadri, Kutch, and Mumbai – requiring participants to incorporate environmental, social, and cultural relevance into their designs.

Top three winners will receive cash prizes up to ₹5 lakh, with additional recognition through a Viewers’ Choice award and potential internship opportunities with the TVSM Design Team. An expert jury from design and mobility sectors will evaluate submissions based on originality, contextual relevance, user-centricity, and feasibility.

“Design is the bridge between imagination and impact. With TVS Indus Design Honours, we are creating a platform where the next generation of designers, thinkers and creators can reimagine Indian mobility as an original, culturally rooted expression of who we are and where we’re headed. This initiative reflects TVS Motor’s commitment to design-led innovation and sustainable mobility. This platform intends to promote Design among the Indian youth and nurture talent from both design and non-design backgrounds to help shape not just how we move but ignite the global conversation on the future of mobility,” said Amit Rajwade, Vice President, Design, TVS Motor Company.

The platform name draws from the Indus Valley Civilization, symbolizing the company’s goal to blend India’s design heritage with modern mobility solutions. The initiative supports the ‘Make in India’ movement while promoting ‘Design in India’ concepts.

Participants can register and submit entries through www.tvsindus.com. The competition is free to enter and restricted to individual applicants from all educational backgrounds.

TVS Motor Company operates manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia, serving customers across 80 countries. The company holds the distinction of being the only two-wheeler manufacturer to win the Deming Prize.
