Bosch Limited reported a strong first-quarter performance for FY 2025–26, with revenue from operations rising 10.9% year-on-year to ₹4,789 crore (€494 million). Profit before tax (excluding exceptional items) surged 37.2% to ₹838 crore (€86 million), driven by increased demand and a favourable product mix. Profit after tax (including exceptional items) stood at ₹1,115 crore (€115 million), accounting for 23.3% of revenue.
A one-time gain of ₹556 crore (€57 million) from the sale of its “Video Solutions, Access and Intrusions, and Communication Systems” business contributed to the higher net profit. This divestment is part of Bosch’s ongoing global realignment of its Building Technologies portfolio.
Automotive Growth Drives Core Business
The automotive segment, which forms the bulk of Bosch’s operations, saw overall product sales increase by 14.3% compared to the same quarter last year. The Power Solutions business, a major contributor within the segment, grew 13.7%, supported by strong demand in the off-highway market and moderate growth in the passenger car segment.
The Mobility Aftermarket division also performed well, posting a 5.2% increase in revenue due to higher market demand for gasoline systems, comfort electronics, and wiper components.
Net sales in the Beyond Mobility business declined 9.3% over the previous year’s quarter, primarily due to the divestment of parts of its Building Technologies segment. This drop was anticipated and reflects Bosch’s strategic focus on core and future-facing technologies.
Commenting on the results, Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, said, “Our Q1 performance reflects strong growth momentum, aided by higher revenues and lower material costs. This is a result of consistent efforts to strengthen our core business while investing in future-ready areas like hydrogen, electrification, and digital services.”
Despite global uncertainties, Bosch remains optimistic about long-term opportunities in sustainable mobility. The company continues to invest in innovation to support India’s transition to cleaner, smarter transportation systems.
Bosch’s operations in India span 17 manufacturing sites and seven development and application centers. In FY 2024–25, Bosch Limited recorded revenue of ₹18,087 crore (€1.98 billion) and employed 38,655 associates as of March 2025. The company is focused on accelerating digital transformation, localizing innovation, and expanding its role as a key player in India’s mobility ecosystem.
