Anuj Dua Returns to Hero MotoCorp as Head of Global Product Planning

Anuj Dua has rejoined Hero MotoCorp as Head of Global Product Planning after a nine-year tenure at Royal Enfield. He will shape the company’s global product strategy in his new role, working with cross-functional teams to align future products with customer requirements, technology developments, and market priorities.

Dua confirmed his appointment in a LinkedIn post, acknowledging his work at Royal Enfield across business, after-sales, marketing, R&D, operations, technology functions, and channel partners. His previous tenure at Hero MotoCorp in product strategy roles familiarised him with the company’s organizational structure and processes. At Royal Enfield, he gained experience in the premium motorcycle segment and international markets, which is expected to be relevant as Hero sharpens its product focus.

Over nearly nine years at Royal Enfield, Dua held senior leadership positions, including Business Head – Asia Pacific, Head of Global Brand Management – Heritage, Head of Product Strategy, Lead – Go To Market, and Head – Global Product Strategy. In these roles, he was involved in market expansion, product planning, pricing, consumer insights, competitive benchmarking, and brand strategy execution across domestic and overseas markets. Before joining Royal Enfield, he spent over a decade at Hero MotoCorp in roles spanning global product planning, marketing, and sales. He worked with Bajaj Auto as an assistant retail manager.

The appointment comes as the Indian two-wheeler industry undergoes shifts in demand patterns, with growth in the 125cc+ premium commuter and lifestyle motorcycle segments outpacing entry-level models. Manufacturers are also advancing electrification plans in response to regulatory requirements and evolving market readiness. In the global context, Hero MotoCorp seeks to expand in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, with product planning strategies for premium and electric models expected to play a central role in these ambitions.

Dua holds an MBA in Marketing and IT from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (2003–2005), where he undertook projects and studies in the automobile and telecom sectors, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from Guru Jambheshwar University (1997–2001).
