Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has inked a strategic partnership with Plugsurfing, one of Europe’s leading EV charging service providers and marks an important milestone in the company’s European growth strategy. This collaboration allows Vinfast customers to access a network of over one million public charging points across 24 countries through the VinFast app, offering a seamless and convenient charging experience throughout Europe.
With over a decade of experience, Plugsurfing has built a broad network of charging partners, enabling more than 2 million users to access the largest network of EV charging stations across Europe. In VinFast’s key markets of Germany, France, and the Netherlands, the network includes more than 550,000 charging points.
Under the agreement, VinFast VF 6 and VF 8 owners will receive new charging cards free of charge and, to ensure continuity and to preserve all accumulated benefits, charging history and account balances will transfer and remain unchanged.
This partnership addresses one of the biggest challenges in Europe’s EV market: the fragmented nature of charging infrastructure, often involving multiple providers and standalone platforms.
Ms. Le Ngoc Chi, CEO of VinFast Europe, said: “Our customer-centric philosophy drives every aspect of VinFast’s operations, and this partnership is a natural extension of that commitment. By teaming up with Plugsurfing, we’re not only expanding our charging network but also enhancing convenience and the overall experience for our customers, further accelerating the transition to electric vehicles in Europe.”
Ms. Sofia Diakhate, COO of Plugsurfing, commented: “We are excited to collaborate with VinFast in shaping a brighter and more sustainable EV future for Europe. Plugsurfing is constantly developing its network to deliver a more reliable, accessible charging experience, while actively supporting VinFast’s expansion across the continent.”
In Europe, VinFast currently distributes two smart electric vehicle models: the VF 6 (B-segment) and the VF 8 (D-segment), with an impressive product lineup under study for the European market. The company is also selectively expanding its dealer and distributor network in France, Germany throughout Europe, as well as a wide coverage network of aftersales with reputable service providers such as ATU (Germany), Norauto (France), LKQ (the Netherlands), and Fixico to deliver high-standard repair and maintenance services across the region, reinforcing its commitment to long-term and sustainable growth in the European market.
