TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS King Kargo HD EV, an electric three-wheeler designed for urban and semi-urban logistics operations. The vehicle was unveiled on Thursday, marking the company’s latest entry into the growing electric cargo three-wheeler segment.
The King Kargo HD EV is engineered to meet the evolving demands of last-mile delivery services. It features a 6.6-foot load deck with leaf spring suspension, a top speed of 60 km/h, and a claimed warranty of six years or 150,000 kilometers. The vehicle has a ground clearance of 235 mm, a wading depth of 500 mm, and a low loading height of 703 mm to facilitate ease of loading and unloading. With a turning radius of 3,420 mm and a 200 mm drum brake setup, the vehicle is designed for maneuverability and safety in congested city environments.
Among its notable features is India’s first Bluetooth-enabled system in a cargo three-wheeler, branded as TVS hartXonnect™, offering 26 smart features. The vehicle also includes LED headlamps and tail lamps, fully rolling windows, twin-axis rearview mirrors for improved visibility, and a dedicated Power Gear Mode for enhanced torque under load.
The launch event also included a preview of the upcoming King Kargo HD CNG variant, which the company plans to introduce before the end of 2025.
The vehicle is integrated with TVS Connect Fleet, a web-based telematics platform designed for fleet operators. The system offers real-time tracking, remote asset control, automated alerts, reports, and analytics through a mobile-responsive interface. According to the company, the platform supports 31 advanced features aimed at improving vehicle utilization and operational efficiency.
Rajat Gupta, Business Head – Commercial Mobility at TVS Motor Company, stated that the launch aligns with the company’s long-term ‘Re-Imagine 2030’ strategy. He emphasized the vehicle’s focus on safety, comfort, connectivity, and performance, suggesting it could set new benchmarks in the cargo three-wheeler segment.
Initially, the TVS King Kargo HD EV will be available in select markets, including Delhi, the National Capital Region (NCR) — covering Faridabad, Noida, Gurgaon, and Ghaziabad — as well as parts of Rajasthan and Bengaluru. The ex-showroom price in Delhi is set at ₹3.85 lakh.
