Hyundai Exter Pro Pack has been launched from Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter Pro Pack gets cosmetic upgrades, more features and a new exterior paint shade.
As part of the new Pro Pack, the Exter gets additional plastic cladding along the wheel arches. Additionally, there’s a new faux side skid plate as well that sits between the front and the rear wheels. Apart from the above upgrades, Hyundai has also added all-new Titan Grey Matte exterior paint shade in order to give the Exter more appeal.
On the inside, the Exter now gets a dashcam on the SX(O) AMT which was earlier limited to the SX Tech and SX Connect trims. Customers can opt for the Pro Pack from the Exter S+ trim onwards, with a price premium of around ₹5,000 over the trim selected. The Exter’s lower trims – EX, EX(O), S Smart, and S – do not get this option.
Apart from the above cosmetic updates, the the Exter remains unchanged mechanically. It continues with an 83hp, 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Exter CNG gets the same engine but with a lower 69hp and 95.2Nm rating, paired with a manual transmission and a dual-cylinder CNG setup. The Exter does not get a CNG automatic option.
Key rivals to the Exter include the Citroen C3 and the Tata Punch. It also takes on the lower variants of the Nissan Magnite and the soon-to-be-updated Renault Kiger SUVs.
