Kia India has launched a time-limited promotional campaign offering customers combined savings of up to ₹2.25 lakh on select vehicle models. The initiative, which includes both pre-GST benefits and festive offers, will remain active until September 22, 2025.
The savings structure varies by geographic region, with customers in different states eligible for different benefit amounts. Kerala offers the highest potential savings of ₹2.25 lakh on the Seltos model, while other regions provide benefits ranging from ₹1.20 lakh to ₹2.10 lakh depending on the model and location.
The promotion covers three models from Kia’s Indian portfolio: the Seltos SUV, Carens MPV, and Carens Clavis variant. Northern, Eastern, and Western regions receive uniform benefits for most models, while southern states show varying discount levels.
According to the company’s breakdown, the total savings comprise pre-GST benefits worth up to ₹58,000 and festive offers reaching ₹1.67 lakh. The automaker has positioned this as a comprehensive value proposition for customers considering a vehicle purchase during the festive season.
Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, emphasized the company’s intention to enhance the festive experience for customers through these financial incentives. The executive framed the promotion within the context of festivals representing new beginnings and celebration.
The Korean automaker has been expanding its presence in the Indian market since its entry, focusing on design, technology integration, and customer service initiatives. This promotional campaign represents part of the company’s broader strategy to maintain competitive positioning during peak sales periods.
Regional variations in the offer suggest the company has tailored benefits based on local market conditions and competitive dynamics. Tamil Nadu receives the highest Carens benefits at ₹1.55 lakh, while Karnataka shows lower Carens Clavis benefits compared to other southern states.
The limited duration of the campaign indicates Kia’s strategy to create urgency among potential buyers while managing inventory levels during the pre-festival period. September typically marks the beginning of the Indian automotive industry’s peak sales season, which extends through the festival months.
Industry observers note that such promotional activities have become standard practice among automotive manufacturers seeking to capitalize on increased consumer spending during festival periods. The pre-GST angle adds a regulatory dimension to the marketing approach.
Kia India’s announcement comes at a time when the automotive sector is experiencing varied demand patterns across different vehicle segments and regions. The company’s decision to implement region-specific benefits reflects recognition of diverse market conditions across Indian states.
