The month of April closed with 18,812 light commercial vehicles registered in Spain, an amount that represents a growth of 22% compared to the same month last year.
In the first quarter of the year, the registrations of light commercial vehicles have reached a total of 71,254 units, which represents 12.4% more than in January-April 2017. As far as 2018, the vans are the vehicles with a greater volume of registrations, with a total of 40,325 units, representing a growth of 10.3% compared to the same period of 2017.
The pick-up vehicles are the ones that grow the most in the month of April, with a 67.7% increase, until reaching the 951 units registered. The same happens in the accumulated first quarter of the year where, with 3,417 units have increased their registrations by 49.4% with respect to the same period of 2017.
SALES BY CHANNELS
The channel of companies, the most important in the market, with 52.5% of the total and 9.877 units, registered a growth of 21.7% during last April. In the first four months of the year this channel accumulates a total of 38,430 registrations, with an increase of 14% compared to January-April 2017.
Regarding the autonomous channel, with 6,145 registered units, it registered an increase of 33.3% in April compared to the same period of 2017. In the first four months of the year, the increase was of 9.5% until reaching the 22,322 records.
Finally, the rental channel, with 2,790 units registered in April, rose by 3.6% compared to the same month last year. With regard to its behavior during the first four months of 2018, positive figures were also obtained, with 10,502 units registered, an amount that represented a 12.6% increase compared to the same period of 2017.
