Ather Energy Limited has crossed 500 Experience Centres across India, adding 101 new outlets in the past three months as the electric two-wheeler manufacturer accelerates its nationwide expansion. The company plans to reach 700 Experience Centres by the end of FY26, with focus on tier 2 and tier 3 cities in Middle and North India.
The expansion drive from June to August 2025 saw more than 58 new centres opened across Middle and North India, including locations in Agra, Mandsaur, Jabalpur, Sundargarh, Vadodara, and Bilaspur. Middle India comprises Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.
Ather has strengthened its presence in tier 2 and 3 cities including Calicut, Indore, Nashik, Coimbatore, Guntur, Haldwani, Satara, Kota, Kangra, and Aizwal. The retail expansion supports growing demand for the company’s electric scooters, particularly the Rizta family scooter launched in 2024.
“Crossing 500 Experience Centres marks an important step in our growth journey, as we continue to expand our presence in line with rising demand across markets. While South India continues to be our strongest base, where we are steadily growing, the success of Rizta has also helped us fast-track expansion in Middle and North India. This growth is not confined to metros alone. We are also building deeper into tier 2 and 3 cities, where consumer response has been equally encouraging. As we continue to scale, our focus remains on making Ather accessible to more customers across India, with the aim of crossing 700 Experience Centres by the end of FY26,” said Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy Limited.
The retail network growth reflects Ather’s market performance, with national market share increasing to 14.3% in Q1 FY26 from 7.6% in Q1 FY25. In Middle India, the company’s market share grew 2.6 times year-on-year to 10.7%. Ather maintains leadership in South India with 22.8% market share in Q1 FY25.
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu each have over 50 Experience Centres. Bengaluru leads with 18 centres, followed by Pune and Hyderabad with 13 each, Delhi with 9, and Mumbai and Chennai with 8 each.
Ather operates two manufacturing facilities in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, for vehicle assembly and battery production. A third facility is under construction in Bidkin, AURIC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, which will increase total manufacturing capacity to 1.42 million electric two-wheelers annually.
The company’s product lineup includes the 450 series performance scooters and the Rizta family scooter range. Recent launches include the EL platform for next-generation scooters, AtherStack 7.0 with voice interaction, Infinite Cruise for the 2025 Ather 450 Apex, and touchscreen functionality for the Rizta Z.
