Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its next-generation OJA tractor range in Australia, introducing three new models designed specifically for the country’s farming conditions.
The launch coincides with Mahindra’s 20th anniversary in Australia and represents the company’s latest advancement in lightweight 4WD tractor technology. The new range includes the OJA 1123 HST, OJA 1126 HST, and OJA 2126 HST models, all featuring hydrostatic transmission systems.
The tractors are engineered for sub-compact and compact category applications, targeting farmers and property owners seeking reliable equipment for diverse agricultural tasks. Key features include button-operated power take-off (PTO) systems, advanced hydraulics, power steering, and optional cabin configurations.
The OJA 1100 series models produce 23 and 26 horsepower respectively from 3-cylinder diesel engines, while the OJA 2126 from the 2100 series generates 26 horsepower at 2,500 RPM. Loader lift capacities range from 420kg to 580kg depending on the model.
Development of the OJA platform involved collaboration between Mahindra Research Valley in India and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery in Japan. The tractors are manufactured at Mahindra’s facility in South India, with similar models being deployed in markets including the United States, Canada, Thailand, and India.
Mahindra Australia is offering comprehensive warranty coverage, including three years bumper-to-bumper protection plus an additional three years on the powertrain. The company operates service networks across Australia to support the new product line.
The OJA range becomes available through Mahindra dealers nationwide starting September 18, with customer bookings opening immediately. Pricing information was not disclosed in the company’s announcement.
Mahindra & Mahindra claims the position as the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, with over 4 million units sold since introducing its first tractor in 1963. The company maintains operations in more than 50 countries across six continents.
