
Mallareddy Deemed-to-be University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ThunderPlus, an EV charging solutions provider, to develop academic programmes and research initiatives in the electric vehicle sector.
The partnership will involve the creation of EV-focused academic courses and programmes, providing students with exposure through projects, internships, and placements. The University and ThunderPlus will also collaborate on research and development to support green mobility and sustainable technologies.
Ch. Badra Reddy, Chairman of Mallareddy Group, said ThunderPlus had contributed to strengthening EV charging infrastructure in India and was encouraging students to pursue innovation in the sector.
As part of Engineers’ Day events, the University presented Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, with an award recognising his role in advancing India’s EV ecosystem.
Rajeev YSR said the recognition reflected the efforts of the wider ThunderPlus team and added that the MoU would help prepare future engineers to support India’s shift towards clean mobility.
