Soon, we will have a facility that employs thousands of Georgians.”On Tuesday, September 16, Rivian held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the company’s new manufacturing facility, joined by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Georgia Speaker of the House Jon Burns, and other state and local officials.The new facility represents a multi-billion investment, expected to create 7,500 jobs by 2030. Customer vehicle production is planned to begin in 2028, starting with the midsize, 5-seater R2 SUV and R3 crossover.
