Euler Motors Introduces World’s First 1-Tonne EV Mini Truck Priced at ₹5.99 Lakh

Euler Motors has launched the Turbo EV 1000, positioning it as the world’s first 1-tonne electric mini truck to combine performance capabilities with mass-market pricing. The vehicle carries an ex-showroom starting price of ₹5.99 lakhs and targets India’s commercial vehicle market where electric penetration currently stands at approximately 2%.

The Turbo EV 1000 offers a real-world driving range of 140-170 kilometers on a single charge, addressing a key concern for commercial fleet operators. The vehicle features 140 Nm torque output and 230mm disc brakes on an R13 wheel platform. These specifications represent the highest performance metrics in the 1-tonne commercial vehicle segment, according to the company.

Fast-charging capability through CCS2 technology allows the vehicle to add 50 kilometers of range within 15 minutes at compatible public charging stations. This feature aims to reduce downtime concerns for commercial operators who require consistent vehicle availability.

Euler Motors claims the electric truck delivers annual operational savings of ₹1.15 lakhs compared to equivalent diesel vehicles. This cost advantage stems from lower fuel costs, reduced maintenance requirements, and favorable total cost of ownership economics over the vehicle’s operational life.

The company has introduced three variants: CITY (₹5.99 lakhs), FAST CHARGE (₹8.19 lakhs), and MAXX (₹7.19 lakhs). Financing options include EMI packages starting at ₹10,000 monthly with a down payment of ₹49,999.

Saurav Kumar, Founder and CEO of Euler Motors, stated the launch addresses practical needs within India’s logistics industry while supporting the transition to sustainable mobility. He noted the timing coincides with evolving state and national transport policies that are reshaping commercial fleet economics.

The Turbo EV 1000 represents Euler Motors’ third product offering and second four-wheeler commercial vehicle, following the company’s Storm EV model. The manufacturer has incorporated nine segment-first innovations across the vehicle’s design and functionality.

India’s commercial electric vehicle market faces adoption challenges related to upfront costs, charging infrastructure availability, and range limitations. The Turbo EV 1000’s pricing strategy targets small fleet owners and individual driver-entrepreneurs who operate on narrow profit margins.

The vehicle launch occurs as government policies increasingly favor electric vehicle adoption in commercial segments through subsidies, preferential financing, and regulatory frameworks supporting cleaner transportation alternatives.
