Online bus ticketing platform AbhiBus has entered into a partnership with the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) to digitize booking services for government buses across the state.
The partnership integrates OSRTC’s extensive network into AbhiBus’s digital platform, allowing passengers to book government bus services online. OSRTC operates 577 intercity and interstate buses, providing 4,800 daily services that connect over 130 cities and towns within Odisha and 68 destinations outside the state.
The state transport corporation’s flagship Mukhyamantri Bus Seva program serves rural areas through 1,422 buses covering more than 6,720 Gram Panchayats. This service will now be accessible through AbhiBus’s digital booking system.
“We are delighted to welcome OSRTC onboard, one of the key state transport networks connecting cities and rural communities across Odisha,” said Rohit Sharma, Chief Operating Officer of AbhiBus. The partnership will enable digital bookings for popular routes including Bhubaneswar-Puri, Cuttack, Berhampur, and interstate connections to Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, and Raipur.
The collaboration expands AbhiBus’s state transport network to 17 major corporations. The platform recently added seven new State Road Transport Corporations, including SBSTC, TSRTC, PRTC, KSRTC, SNT, and UTC.
AbhiBus operates as part of ixigo Group (Le Travenues Technology Limited) and aggregates services from over 4,000 bus operators across more than 350,000 routes in India. The platform provides features including real-time bus tracking, fare comparison, and digital payment options.
OSRTC functions under the Transport & Commerce Department of the Odisha Government and offers various bus categories from ordinary services to Volvo Super Deluxe options for intercity and interstate travel.
