Statements

José López-Tafall, General Director of ANFAC Indico “The month of September again supposes a new milestone for the electrified market in Spain, with a quarter of the sales of pure electric and plug -in hybrid cars. A figure that allows us to place ourselves in 19% per year and that evidences that with the wide current supply a wide range of existing demand options is already covered.”

«The objective set for this year is to reach 100,000 registrations of pure electrical cars. This figure responds to two ANFAC objectives: to meet the European objectives, but, above all, bring Spain to the European average to Spain, and leave the group of lagging countries. Until September, more than 72,000 units have already been registered, which makes it more and more feasible to meet the goal. The market situation responds to the union of the supply of new vehicles and electrical models and plug -in hybrids and a moves that, after the uncertainties at the beginning of the year, has been consolidated. We are advancing in the right direction to approach Europe, but this is a continuous, not punctual process: we are in a background race, and the constancy and good pace are the key to success. That is why the completion of the Moves program in nine autonomous communities can stop the good rhythm achieved and confuse customers again, so from ANFAC we request an urgent extension of the funds until the end of the year. In parallel, ANFAC continues to promote the start -up of an Auto España 2030 2035 plan, with ambitious measures for the market and industry, focused on encouraging and not penalizing or taxing the vehicle, since every new sale in the market is good for our economy and employment, and also for the environment ”.
