
Thunderplus, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, on Tuesday said it plans to expand its charging infrastructure for electric small commercial vehicles (SCVs) in India.
According to the official press release, the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tata Motors to install 5,000 new public charging stations across major cities in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, West Bengal, Bihar, and Maharashtra.
“We are proud to collaborate with Tata Motors in driving the adoption of electric small commercial vehicles across India. This partnership marks a pivotal step in building a robust and accessible charging ecosystem for cleaner mobility solutions,” said Rajeev YSR, CEO of Thunderplus.
It added that the stations will be located at key logistics hubs to support fleet operators, enhance operational efficiency, and unlock greater earning potential. Equipped with fast-charging capabilities and integrated digital solutions, the facilities aim to make EV charging seamless, accessible, and scalable for commercial fleets.
The initiative aligns with India’s push to reduce carbon emissions and accelerate electrification in the commercial transport sector.
