Michelin has inaugurated two Michelin Tyre and Service stores in Mumbai and Gurugram as part of its ongoing retail expansion strategy in India.
The Mumbai facility in Oshiwara, launched in partnership with Diwan Auto Care, represents the company’s largest store in the city. The location features a 400 square foot showroom and a 3,100 square foot service area with four service bays, two lifts, and advanced Hunter Alignment and Hunter Roadforce wheel balancing systems. The facility employs over 70 trained professionals.
In Gurugram, Michelin has partnered with Vishnu Tyres to establish a 1,200 square foot store located opposite the Sohna Bus Stand along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The outlet offers comprehensive tyre services including alignment, balancing, and fitting for premium vehicles.
Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, said the new stores reflect the company’s commitment to the Indian market and align with its strategy to expand retail access to premium tyres and service experiences. He noted the expansion coincides with strengthened manufacturing capabilities at the company’s passenger car tyre facility in Chennai.
The retail expansion demonstrates Michelin’s approach of partnering with established local service providers to strengthen its presence in key Indian markets. Both locations are designed to deliver premium customer experiences with modern facilities and advanced technology.
Michelin, headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, operates in 175 countries with 129,800 employees worldwide.
