Next-Gen Hyundai Venue Teased Ahead of November 4 Launch

Hyundai India has dropped the first official teaser of the second-generation Venue compact SUV, confirming its market debut for November 4, 2025. Alongside the reveal, the company has also commenced series production of the new SUV a few days ago, at its newly acquired Talegaon facility in Maharashtra.

The teaser gives a glimpse of the new Hyundai Venue’s all-new front fascia, showcasing a bold new grille flanked by sleek headlamp units positioned below a full-width LED light bar. The design is a clear evolution of Hyundai’s latest “Parametric Dynamics” language, seen on models such as the new Creta, the Exter and the global Ioniq 9. Expect a more upright stance, sculpted bodywork and a premium finish to set it apart from its predecessor.

Inside, the second-gen Venue is expected to receive a completely reworked cabin that places greater emphasis on technology, comfort and safety. Highlights are likely to include a dual 10.25-inch curved infotainment and instrument screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, wireless connectivity, and a host of connected-car features. Hyundai has also confirmed that the new model will offer Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), over-the-air (OTA) software updates, and improved overall refinement. The company says the SUV will feature a “stronger” body structure — a clear indication that it could be targeting a top BNCAP safety rating this time around.

Under the hood, the powertrain lineup is expected to mirror that of the outgoing model. This means buyers can look forward to three familiar engines — an 83hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual; a 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT; and a 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. As before, the turbo-petrol variant is expected to remain the enthusiast’s choice, while the diesel continues to serve buyers looking for long-distance efficiency. The sportier Venue N Line is also on the cards, though it will arrive a little after the standard model’s launch.

The new Venue is the first Hyundai model to roll out from the Talegaon plant — a facility that was previously owned by General Motors and has since been extensively upgraded. The plant begins operations with an annual production capacity of 1.7 lakh units, with Hyundai confirming plans to scale this up to 2.5 lakh units soon. This expansion aligns with the company’s broader strategy to boost local manufacturing and cater to both domestic and export markets.

Since its introduction in 2019, the Venue has remained one of Hyundai’s best-selling models in India, consistently averaging 7,000–8,000 units a month despite facing tough competition. The new-generation model will once again take on the segment’s heavyweights, including the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
