A cut-out fence. And nearby in a trash bag, stolen equipment ready to be taken away. Around 8:50 a.m., the facts were reported on October 31.

Two employees, two men, aged 38 and 35, were arrested and taken into police custody. One is a Haut-Saônois, the second a Georgian national, specifies the police. The two men are temporary workers according to our information.

In the vehicle of one of them, investigators discovered, under the driver’s seat, a drawer containing the sum of 365 euros. An inventory of the contents of the garbage bags was carried out.

The police continued the investigation by carrying out searches and searches of vehicles which led to the discovery of numerous boxes and bags containing automobile parts for an amount estimated at 500,000 euros.

The two employees of the automobile factory admitted the facts. They explained that they resold the coins on LEBONCOIN or used them for personal purposes. They minimized the period of the theft to October 27, 2025, but the investigations showed that the thefts were older and the modus operandi was well established between the two employees.

After an initial inventory, the damage could amount to at least 2,000,000 euros. On the instructions of the magistrate, police custody was lifted. But investigations are continuing, indicates the departmental direction of the national police in Haute-Saône.

The Stellantis factory in Vesoul in Haute-Saône does not produce vehicles, but is a strategic site of the group for spare parts.
