Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Reports 6.5 Lakh Unit Sales in October 2025

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported total sales of 6,50,596 units in October 2025, marking a robust performance in both domestic and international markets. The Gurugram-based company sold 5,98,952 units domestically while exporting 51,644 units during the month.

The figures represent a 9% year-on-year growth compared to October 2024 and a 15% month-on-month increase over September 2025. For the year-to-date period of fiscal year 2026 (April-October 2025), HMSI recorded cumulative sales of 36,41,612 units, with domestic sales accounting for 32,78,451 units and exports totaling 3,63,161 units.

In a significant achievement, HMSI’s Activa scooter range crossed the milestone of 35 million sales, cementing its position as one of India’s most popular scooter brands.

Beyond business metrics, the company continued its focus on road safety initiatives throughout October. HMSI organized awareness campaigns across ten cities including Siwan, Mathura, Jhunjhunu, Ahmedabad, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Jalna, Lucknow, Kannur, and Hubballi. The company also celebrated the eighth anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Karnal, Haryana, and the fifth anniversary of its Safety Driving Education Centre in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Additionally, a Road Safety Convention was held in Jabalpur targeting educational institutions.

Under its corporate social responsibility program, Honda India Foundation handed over 200 specially equipped Quick Response Team vehicles to police departments in Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Karnataka as part of the ‘Sadak Sahayak: Surakshit Marg, Surakshit Jiwan’ project. The initiative aligns with Honda’s global vision of achieving a collision-free society by 2050.

The foundation also launched the Honda Road Safety Ambassadors Program and ‘Sadak Suraksha Express’ at Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra in Naurangpur. Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Government of Gujarat, to launch a skill enhancement program at Ganpat University in Mehsana.

On the motorsports front, October saw MotoGP events in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia, while Round 4 of the 2025 IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup CB300F was held in Chennai, and Round 5 of the Asia Road Racing Championship took place in Malaysia.
