Hyundai Motor India has launched the second-generation Venue with prices starting form Rs 7.89 lakh for the base HX2, Rs 8.80 lakh for the HX4, and Rs 9.15 lakh for the HX5 (1.2 NA petrol, ex-showroom), while prices for the turbo-petrol and diesel variants will be revealed soon. Bookings are open across dealerships and online for Rs 25,000.
The 2025 Hyundai Venue brings a completely fresh design inside out, more technology, and the long-awaited diesel-automatic powertrain option which was not available on the previous-gen SUV.
The new Venue sits on Hyundai’s K1 platform which enables the SUV get additional tech upgrades. The new Hyundai compact SUV is larger in every dimension. It now sits 48mm taller, 30mm wider, and has a 20mm longer wheelbase than before, measuring 3,995mm in length, 1,800mm in width, 1,665mm in height, and 2,520mm in wheelbase.
The new Venue introduces Hyundai’s updated variant nomenclature with eight variants HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX7, HX8, and HX10. Customers can choose from six monotone and two dual-tone colour options, including new shades like Hazel Blue and Mystic Sapphire.
On the inside, the new Hyundai Venuge gets a completely overhauled interior replete with dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic screens that integrate the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. The SUV comes with Hyundai’s latest Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), powered by NVIDIA technology, supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air updates for 20 vehicle controllers, and 70 connected features with more than 400 voice commands in five Indian languages. The interior is finished in dual-tone Dark Navy and Dove Grey and a reworked centre console. Higher variants get leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and a Bose 8-speaker premium audio system. Other highlights include rear window sunshades, rear AC vents, two-step reclining rear seats, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, and a voice-enabled electric sunroof.
The Venue comes with Hyundai’s tried and tested powertrain options. These include the the 83hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the 120hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and the 1.5-litre VGT diesel producing around 114hp and 250Nm with a VGT. Gearbox options include a five speed manual, torque-converter automatic, and 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT) units. A major highlight is the return of the diesel-automatic combination, available on the HX5 and HX10 variants, which now helps Hyundai take on the likes of the the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO that already offer similar setups.

As far as safety goes, new Venue now gets Hyundai SmartSense ADAS Level 2 with 16 driver-assistance features, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Driver Attention Warning. Standard safety features across all variants include six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The SUV also gets An electronic parking brake with auto-hold, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera are also offered on higher trims.
Deliveries for the new Venue are expected to start in the coming days for the entry-level petrol variants. Turbo petrol and diesel powered units are expected to be delivered slightly later, dealers tell us.
