Lilypad Accelerates EV Adoption with Home Demo Program

Lilypad, an emerging electric vehicle (EV) platform based in Delhi-NCR, is driving a new wave of EV adoption in India through its innovative doorstep Home Demo Service. The company is witnessing strong traction, recording steady month-on-month growth of 8–10% and monthly online sales of 12–15 vehicles.

Lilypad’s active fleet of 50 EVs collectively covers more than 100,000 km every month across Delhi-NCR, reflecting the growing consumer interest in electric mobility. The company’s unique Home Demo program — which allows customers to experience EVs at their doorstep — has been central to this momentum, helping bridge the gap between curiosity and purchase intent.

“Our home demo program bridges that gap by bringing the EV experience directly to the customer’s doorstep,” said a Lilypad spokesperson. “We believe buying an EV isn’t just a transaction, it’s a mindset shift. This combination of accessibility, trust, and convenience is helping us accelerate India’s EV adoption one test ride at a time.”

The company’s booking system, powered by WATI, integrates both WhatsApp and web-based channels. Customers can easily schedule a 30-minute doorstep demo, during which a Lilypad specialist provides a detailed walk-through of the vehicle, including hands-on operation, safety instructions, and performance insights. According to the company, this approach has led to three times higher conversion rates compared to traditional in-store test drives.

So far, Lilypad has conducted over 100 home demos across Delhi-NCR and is now gearing up for the next phase of its expansion. Under its 2026 roadmap, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the capital region before entering Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, focusing on sustainable and customer-first growth.

Founded with the mission of making electric mobility more accessible, Lilypad operates as a full-stack platform that integrates digital discovery, home demos, purchase, rentals, and fleet management. Its partnerships with leading OEMs and service platforms — including Bajaj, Ather, Okaya, EMotorad, Swiggy, Zomato, and Blinkit — position it as a key player in India’s transition to cleaner and more connected transportation.

By combining technology-driven convenience with a customer-centric approach, Lilypad is not only redefining how Indians buy EVs but also helping accelerate the broader shift toward sustainable mobility.
