Eicher Trucks and Buses has launched the Eicher Pro X Diesel range on November 10, 2025, expanding its presence in the small commercial vehicle segment with a diesel-powered option designed for last-mile delivery operations.
The launch follows the introduction of the Eicher Pro X EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. The diesel variant is aimed at customers and regions requiring diesel-powered solutions for applications including e-commerce deliveries, FMCG distribution, cold chain logistics, and parcel courier services.
The vehicle features a newly developed E449 diesel engine that the company says delivers fuel efficiency and performance for urban and near-urban operations. The range includes a 10-foot 8-inch cargo deck and a service interval of 30,000 kilometers.
Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., described the launch as part of the company’s efforts to serve the evolving logistics sector. “The Eicher Pro X range—now available in both electric and diesel variants—reflects our commitment to serve our customers as they transform logistics in India’s Amrit Kaal,” he stated.
The vehicle is available in 3-ton and 3.5-ton gross vehicle weight variants. Safety and comfort features include a crash-test certified metallic cabin, ergonomic seating for driver plus two passengers, driver state monitoring system, and daytime running lamps.
The range incorporates connectivity features through the My Eicher App, offering predictive diagnostics, remote immobilizer functionality, and monitoring through a 24×7 Uptime Center.
S S Gill, Chief Commercial Officer at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., highlighted the vehicle’s target market: “The Eicher Pro X Diesel is a state-of-the-art product designed for customers and drivers in the large SCV segment.”
The vehicles are manufactured at Eicher’s Bhopal plant and assembled on an all-woman production line. The Pro X Diesel range can be purchased through Eicher’s dealership network or online at www.eichersmalltrucks.com.
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited operates as a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, producing Eicher-branded trucks and buses, Volvo Buses, and related components since 2008.
