Pvt. Ltd. (JEM) has expanded its dealership network with the inauguration of five new showrooms across India, marking a significant push into the electric commercial vehicle market. The expansion brings the company’s flagship JEM TEZ electric light commercial vehicle to key metropolitan areas.
The five-day inauguration drive began on November 3, 2025, with new showrooms opening in New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, and Pune. The launches were attended by local dignitaries and JEM’s leadership team, led by Vikash Lohia, Deputy Managing Director of Jupiter Group.
The expansion targets strategic markets across different regions. In the capital area, the Delhi and Ghaziabad showrooms aim to serve the logistics ecosystem supported by Delhi’s EV Policy 2.0, which targets 95% electric vehicle adoption by 2027. The Pune and Ahmedabad locations tap into industrial corridors in Maharashtra and Gujarat, which together represent 22.1% of India’s commercial vehicle market. Meanwhile, the Trivandrum showroom strengthens JEM’s presence in Kerala, where over 235,000 electric vehicles are registered with an 11.33% market share.
Each showroom provides trained product specialists, personalized consultations, and test drive facilities for the JEM TEZ vehicle. The 1.05-ton electric light commercial vehicle offers a certified range exceeding 300 kilometers, 80 kW peak motor power, and 23% gradeability, positioning it for intra-city freight, last-mile delivery, and distribution operations.
Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, said the expansion demonstrates the company’s commitment to building a national footprint in the electric commercial vehicle segment. He noted that the selected cities represent diverse logistical needs and policy environments conducive to electric vehicle adoption.
Vikash Lohia emphasized that the expansion is supported by robust manufacturing capabilities leveraging the parent company’s decades of experience in railway freight wagon production. He stated that every JEM TEZ vehicle undergoes rigorous testing across various parameters to meet Indian commercial operation requirements.
JEM has formed partnerships with Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, Automovill, and Tapfin to build a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem. These collaborations provide customers with charging infrastructure access, financing options, after-sales service, and business assistance through the JEM Udaan program.
With these additions, JEM now operates seven showrooms nationwide in Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Trivandrum. The company plans further expansion to Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
JEM is a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited, a mobility solutions provider with operations spanning freight wagons, locomotives, commercial vehicles, and related components. The parent company has manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Indore, Jabalpur, and Aurangabad, with partnerships across Europe.
