Driivz, a Vontier company, has released Platform Version 9, an updated electric vehicle charging and energy management software suite designed to support EV charging networks and service providers. The new version is now available to its global customer base, which operates in more than 30 countries. Platform Version 9 introduces new features to streamline fleet EV charging operations, optimize revenue, and add energy management functionality crucial for large-scale and resilient EV charging networks.
Driivz says that Platform Version 9 consists of four main pillars targeting technical requirements for EV charging infrastructure:
Optimized Revenue Generation: The platform offers expanded cost tracking via a new Invoices page for operators, InSite for fleet managers, and enhanced detail for drivers through mobile and web interfaces. It enables granular penalty fees for idle and overstayed charging, incremental credit card payment authorization during sessions, and supports partial pre-authorization for smaller amounts. Additional updates include automated tariff changes at charger level, direct running cost display for CTEP compliance, and a reporting engine with Tableau-powered visualization for custom revenue analysis.
Maximized Network Stability and Availability: A new Network Optimizer, built on a real-time monitoring engine, lets operators set custom triggers and continuously tracks network health. Driivz claims this feature addresses issues before they affect uptime, which helps boost total session numbers and decrease maintenance overhead.
Smart Energy Management: The updated Energy Management System (EMS) supports both centralized cloud-based and on-site local control. Capabilities include load management with optimized power distribution, unified site energy asset control, tools for controlling grid costs, and support for advanced grid services such as demand response, ancillary services, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) interactions. Analytics functions provide actionable insights for operators at all levels.
Streamlined Fleet Charging Operations: A new mobile interface for depot operators helps manage fleet EV turnaround and charger utilization. Features include cross-scheduling for fleets under the same service provider, predictable charging for heavy-duty vehicles, and energy planning based on vehicle state-of-charge (SoC) data. The platform also offers oversight of home charging, enabling cost reimbursement for drivers and optimization based on tariffs and off-peak hours.
“Charging network operators need solutions that scale alongside both their networks and their energy needs,” said Driivz CEO Andrew Bennett stated. “What sets Driivz apart is the unique combination of deep industry knowledge, unmatched access to data, and strategic investment in R&D. Together, these strengths allow us to create more complete, connected solutions that give our customers a competitive edge.”
