Mahindra Racing Commits to Formula E’s GEN4 Era Until 2030

Mahindra Racing announced its commitment as a manufacturer to the GEN4 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, extending its participation until at least 2030 when the new generation begins in the 2026/27 season.

Over 12 years, Mahindra Racing has recorded five E-Prix victories, 29 podium finishes, 11 pole positions and over 1,000 championship points. The team finished fourth in Season 11 after drivers Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara secured five podiums with the redesigned M11Electro.

They have bought into the project and the vision, and we will keep working hard to not only make India proud but also showcase exactly why it has the potential to be a major player on the world stage in the automotive and technology industries. Their enthusiasm to ‘Scream Electric’ is hugely inspiring to the whole team, and we will continue to represent them with pride in this next exciting chapter of our Formula E story in the coming years.”

The GEN4 technical specifications, recently revealed by the FIA and Formula E, feature 450kW of peak race power with 600kW attack mode for overtaking, 700kW of regenerative braking, and race energy capacity up to 55kWh. The car will have two aerodynamic configurations for qualifying and race scenarios, with construction using 100% recyclable materials.
