KETO Motors has formalized an agreement with the Telangana government to set up an electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla with an investment of INR 300 crore. The announcement was made at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 held at Bharat Future City.
The facility will specialize in producing 9-metre electric buses and is projected to generate over 2,000 direct employment opportunities within three years. Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, attended the MoU signing ceremony.
The state government will facilitate the project through its TG-iPASS single-window system, which streamlines statutory and regulatory approvals. This support reinforces Telangana’s positioning as an emerging hub for electric vehicle manufacturing and clean mobility solutions.
Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized the state’s commitment to clean mobility, noting that the investment strengthens the EV value chain and advances manufacturing capabilities while creating employment opportunities. He highlighted the government’s focus on supporting innovation and enterprises contributing to sustainable economic growth.
Venkatesh Challa, Director at KETO Motors, described Telangana as a forward-looking state for EV manufacturing. He stated that the Jadcherla facility will enable the company to expand production capacity and develop electric buses meeting global standards while supporting India’s domestic manufacturing sector.
The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 serves as a platform showcasing the state’s industrial strengths and innovation ecosystem under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The event included the release of the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision document.
KETO Motors, headquartered in Hyderabad, manufactures electric vehicles including electric autos and buses designed for urban and industrial mobility applications. The company operates in partnership with Tron Energy Technology, Taiwan’s largest electric bus original equipment manufacturer, to expand its production capabilities for domestic and export markets.
The collaboration between KETO Motors and the Telangana government aims to advance sustainable transportation initiatives and strengthen India’s electric vehicle manufacturing infrastructure.
