Escorts Kubota Unveils BS V-Compliant Construction Equipment Range at Excon 2025

Escorts Kubota Limited launched its latest construction equipment lineup at Excon 2025, introducing BS V-compliant machines designed for diverse applications across urban development, mining and industrial logistics.

The company unveiled the Kubota U22-6 Mini Excavator as a commercial product, filling the gap between its 1.7-ton and 3-ton models. The 2.2-ton excavator features zero-tail swing design, ROPS/FOPS protection and an upgraded hydraulic system suited for urban construction and basement excavation in confined spaces.

In the mining segment, Escorts Kubota showcased the Hydra 15 Mining, a prototype variant engineered for quarrying conditions. The model includes reinforced safety features such as a lift-jack guard and strengthened front bumper, along with an air-conditioned cabin for extended duty cycles.

The BLX75K Backhoe Loader, displayed as a prototype for regional markets, incorporates a 74.3 hp Kubota CEV-V engine. The machine offers improved fuel efficiency, multiple work modes and enhanced serviceability as part of the company’s next-generation backhoe loader lineup.

At the concept stage, the Hydra 72 pick-and-carry crane features a 72-foot boom, advancing from the previous 65-foot class. The crane includes a four-part rope-compensated boom, heavy-duty hydraulic winch with safety brakes, and reinforced axle and transmission systems designed for continuous operation in elevated material handling applications.

Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that the range combines technological advancement with environmental responsibility and economic efficiency. Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, noted the industry’s shift toward application-specific solutions that deliver higher productivity with reduced long-term operating costs.

Sanjeev Bajaj, Chief Officer of the Construction Equipment Business Division, emphasized that the machines are engineered to strengthen reliability, enhance operator comfort and reduce total ownership costs through optimized performance and minimized downtime.

Escorts Kubota also displayed its broader BS V-compliant product range, including the recently launched BLX 75 backhoe loader and new Kubota-engine variants. The company operates with over 80 years of expertise in agricultural and construction equipment, serving customers across India and international markets.
