To raise awareness about pollution, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) conducted a two-day campaign titled ‘A Green Christmas with Namo Bharat’. As part of the initiative, Santa Claus was appointed the brand ambassador for clean mobility, urging people to protect environment and adopt public transport in an engaging and relatable manner.

During the campaign, National Capital Region Transport Corporation’s ‘Santa’ travelled on Namo Bharat trains and interacted with commuters, thanking them for choosing public transport and distributing chocolates. Commuters were also reminded that opting for systems such as Namo Bharat instead of private vehicles not only makes travel more convenient but also significantly helps reduce air pollution and protect environment, said an official of NCRTC — which is executing the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut RRTS corridor.

Santa Claus also interacted with people travelling by car and bike at major roads and intersections across locations including Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, Sahibabad and Muradnagar. Drivers were given chocolates along with a heartfelt appeal to help reduce air pollution by making greater use of public transport. The initiative aimed to inspire people to replace private vehicles with public transport in their daily commute, the official added.
