Ducati India Launches XDiavel V4 at Rs 30.88 Lakh

Ducati India launched the XDiavel V4 sport cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market on Sunday, featuring a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine that delivers 168 hp and 12.8 kgm of torque. The motorcycle is priced at INR 30,88,700 for the Burning Red variant and INR 31,19,700 for the Black Lava variant (ex-showroom India).

The XDiavel V4 uses a counter-rotating crankshaft derived from MotoGP technology to reduce gyroscopic effect and improve handling. The engine features cylinder deactivation that switches off the rear cylinder bank during low-rev riding and when stationary. Major maintenance is scheduled at 60,000 km intervals.

The motorcycle weighs 229 kg at kerb weight, 6 kg less than the previous XDiavel 1260 S model. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds. The braking system uses 330 mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers, achieving peak deceleration of 11.5 m/s².

Commenting on the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said, “The XDiavel V4 perfectly embodies Ducati’s unwavering commitment of pushing the boundaries of design, performance, and innovation. We are absolutely thrilled to introduce this ultimate Sport Cruiser to India. With the new V4 Granturismo engine, the XDiavel V4 delivers thrilling performance, exceptional low-end torque, and unexpected agility, while maintaining the comfort and commanding presence of a cruiser. That single sided swingarm and the rear alloy wheel design is gorgeous and is my favourite design element of the XDiavel V4.”

The motorcycle comes with a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit, ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Power Launch, and Ducati Quick Shift up/down. It offers three Power Modes and four Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet.

The seat height is 770 mm from the ground. The rear suspension travel has increased by 25 mm compared to the previous model. The passenger seat is 30% wider and 50% longer with 25 mm additional thickness.

The XDiavel V4 features a 6.9-inch TFT colour dashboard with 8:3 aspect ratio and Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone pairing. Turn-by-turn navigation is available as an optional feature through the Ducati Link App.

Design elements include a single-sided aluminium swingarm, a 240/45 rear tyre, full-LED front and rear light clusters with double C profile DRL, and dynamic direction indicators. The fuel tank is available in two metallic colours: Burning Red and Black Lava.

Ducati Performance catalogue offers touring accessories including 48-litre semi-rigid panniers, passenger backrest with integrated headlight, and windscreen options in Sport and Touring versions. Additional customization options include comfort seats, lowered seats, homologated exhaust silencer, single-seater tail fairing, carbon parts, forged rims, and coloured brake calipers.

The V4 Granturismo engine is derived from the Desmosedici Stradale used in the Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 models. The engine produces peak torque of 126 Nm at 7,500 rpm and maximum power at 10,750 rpm.
