Rakshit Bisaria has been appointed Head of Product Planning and Strategy at JSW Motors Limited. He announced the development in a LinkedIn post on Saturday.
Bisaria brings close to two decades of experience across India’s automotive sector. He spent 8 years at Hyundai Motor India Ltd, where he led product strategy and market research.
Prior to Hyundai, Bisaria held multiple roles within the Tata Motors ecosystem. He served as Program Manager at Tata Motors between 2015 and 2017, leading chassis design and development for joint projects with Jaguar Land Rover.
Earlier in his career, Bisaria worked as Program Lead at Tata Technologies from 2012 to 2015 and as Assistant Manager in assembly line planning at Tata Motors between 2006 and 2007. He has also held roles at Maruti Suzuki, adding experience across mass-market automotive programmes.
JSW Motors’ passenger vehicle plans
The appointment comes as Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Motors prepares to enter the passenger vehicle segment. The company has outlined an investment of around ₹26,000 crore over five years and is in talks with China’s BYD and other Chinese electric vehicle makers for access to platforms and technology.
JSW Motors plans to roll out its first passenger vehicle from a new manufacturing facility in Maharashtra before June 2026.
