The Eureka Z50 will automatically lift and cover its roller mop when approaching rugs.

Eureka’s new Z50 robovac comes equipped with a roller mop that it will automatically lift and shield before vacuuming your carpets, preventing them from getting wet. The roller mop cover is similar to the one we saw on the Roomba Max 705 Combo last year, but it’s available for a “tentative” cost of $800 as opposed to $1,299.99.
The cover aims to solve the wet carpet dilemma that plagues mopping robovacs, as many can’t lift their mops high enough to clear thick carpets, while some with mopping pads require removal (whether automatic or manual). Along with the built-in cover, the Z50 continuously cleans its roller using water from an onboard tank, while scraping dirty water into a separate chamber.
The Eureka Z50 comes with 20,000Pa of suction, an anti-tangle rolling brush, and a side brush that can lift and extend to reach edges and corners. It uses lidar and AI-powered sensors to navigate your home, while its all-in-one base station offers automatic washing, drying, and tray cleaning.
The Z50 is expected to launch sometime in 2026, though there’s no word on an exact release date.
