Chamberlain is expanding its closed smart home ecosystem with a new lock that doubles as a 2K HDR video doorbell. Announced at CES 2026, the myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock costs $279.99 and uses face detection to automatically lock or unlock your door depending on who’s approaching.

For this to work, you and your family members must scan your faces inside the myQ app. The lock will then “recognize” your faces, allowing it to automatically unlock when you reach your doorstep. Conversely, it will lock your door and close your garage if its camera captures someone it doesn’t recognize. Chamberlain says the smart lock works with its garage door openers and other accessories, like the myQ Chime, myQ Smart Garage Video Keypad, and its outdoor camera.

This feature is only available with a $7.99 per month myQ subscription, as is the case with several other “premium” functionalities. That includes the ability to save and replay videos for up to 30 days, preview notifications, and adjust motion sensitivity, as well as receive notifications that say what triggered an alert, such as a person, animal, vehicle, or package. You don’t need a subscription to receive notifications related to lock access or motion — they just won’t describe what the camera detected.

Along with face detection, you can unlock the myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock using your fingerprint, a PIN, the myQ mobile app, or a physical key. The smart lock connects to Wi-Fi, and Chamberlain claims it can unlock in just two seconds, while offering up to six months of battery life.

Like the other products in the myQ ecosystem, you can’t use the lock with some of the most popular smart home platforms, like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. It only integrates with other subscription-based security services, including Vivint, Ring, and Alarm.com.

The myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock is available now for myQ users, but it will launch for all customers on January 13th.
