Amara Raja Group on Tuesday said it has appointed Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari as its Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective immediately.
Maheshwari succeeds Jaikrishna B, who is set to retire after more than two decades of leading the group’s HR function. In her new role, she will head the group’s human resources function, focusing on strategic people initiatives and strengthening its values-driven organisational culture.
Maheshwari brings nearly 30 years of experience in HR leadership across sectors including manufacturing, automotive, energy, technology, hospitality, financial services and shared services.
She joins Amara Raja from Siemens, where she served as Executive Vice President and Country Head – People & Organisation, and also held the role of Diversity Officer.
“Her experience in steering HR strategies for large global organisations will be instrumental as we expand into new businesses and geographies,” said Vikramadithya Gourineni, executive director, Amara Raja Group.
“Amara Raja’s commitment to innovation and its strong people-centric values resonate deeply with me. I look forward to building agile, future-ready HR practices that empower our people,” said Maheshwari.
An Economics graduate with an MBA, Maheshwari also holds a PhD in Leadership Development.
