National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings), the flagship engineering company of the CKA Birla Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with Ahamani EV Technology India Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant development in India’s emerging drone technology sector.
The collaboration, announced on January 15, 2026, involves NBC Bearings acquiring a 30% equity stake in Ahamani India, the Indian subsidiary of Taiwan-based Ahamani Advanced Inc. The partnership aims to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation drone technologies across the Indian market.
The alliance brings together Ahamani’s expertise in advanced drone platforms, power systems, and control technologies with NBC’s precision engineering capabilities and established manufacturing infrastructure. The companies plan to focus on developing scalable and cost-effective drone solutions for various industrial and commercial applications.
According to Rohit Saboo, President and CEO of NBC Bearings, the partnership allows the company to extend its engineering strengths into emerging technology domains with strong market potential. The collaboration is designed to support India’s growing demand for advanced drone solutions while contributing to the development of a domestic technology ecosystem.
Tzu Chi Kung, Founder and Chairman of Ahamani Advanced Inc., emphasized India’s significance as a growth market for advanced drone applications. She noted that the partnership would accelerate market expansion by combining local manufacturing capabilities with Ahamani’s proven drone and power electronics technologies.
The partnership aligns with India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, focusing on localization and deployment of drone technologies. Ahamani India will serve as the primary platform for expanding high-performance drone systems and components tailored to Indian market requirements.
