Hyundai Motor India has been recognised as a Top Employer 2026 in India by the Top Employers Institute, marking the third consecutive year the company has received the certification.

HMIL ranked first in the automobile sector and fourth nationally across all industries, improving its score from last year.

The certification is awarded following the Top Employers Institute’s annual HR Best Practices Survey, which assesses organisations across six core domains and 20 focus areas, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee wellbeing.

HMIL said the recognition reflects its continued focus on building a high-performance and inclusive workplace through progressive human resource practices and employee-centric programmes. The company has been emphasising capability development, internal mobility and leadership readiness as it prepares for a period of rapid transformation in the Indian automobile market.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HMIL, said the ranking reaffirmed the company’s “people-first” philosophy and its commitment to creating a future-ready organisation that offers equal opportunities and continuous learning for employees.

The Top Employers Institute, which certifies organisations across multiple geographies, said HMIL demonstrated strong alignment between its people strategy and overall business goals.

Adrian Seligman, the institute’s Chief Executive Officer, said the certification highlighted the company’s focus on continuous improvement and sustainable people practices.
