Jio-bp has launched petrol with ACTIVE technology, a new fuel formulation designed to clean critical engine components and improve vehicle performance, the company said at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 in Goa.
According to the company, the new petrol actively removes existing deposits from key engine parts, helping restore and sustain engine efficiency while reducing maintenance requirements. Jio-bp claims that the fuel can enable vehicles to travel up to 100 km more per year than regular petrol, based on typical Indian driving patterns, without additional cost to consumers.
The launch reflects a shift from conventional fuel protection to active engine clean-up capabilities, aimed at enhancing reliability and smoother driving experiences for motorists. The company said the fuel has been developed using BP’s global research expertise and validated through industry-standard testing and real-world trials in India.
Jio-bp showcased the new fuel alongside its broader mobility portfolio, including electric vehicle charging, aviation turbine fuel and alternative energy solutions, highlighting its focus on evolving fuel technologies and low-carbon mobility.
