
New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Tuesday reported a 25 per cent year-on-year rise in total vehicle sales at 4,77,422 units in January 2026, supported by strong growth in both domestic and export markets.
Domestic sales grew 26 per cent to 2,61,975 units, while exports increased 25 per cent to 2,15,447 units, according to a press release filed with stock exchanges on February 3, 2026.
The two-wheeler segment remained the primary growth driver, with total sales rising 24 per cent year-on-year to 4,06,295 units.
Domestic two-wheeler sales climbed 25 per cent to 2,14,727 units, while exports grew 22 per cent to 1,91,568 units, reflecting sustained demand in overseas markets.
Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicle business recorded a sharp increase in January, with total sales surging 35 per cent to 71,127 units.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 27 per cent to 47,248 units, while exports jumped 53 per cent to 23,879 units, underlining strong momentum in the export market.
April to January sales
For the April 2025 to January 2026 period, Bajaj Auto’s cumulative sales stood at 42,24,031 units, marking an 8 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, domestic cumulative sales reported a marginal decline with 23,68,613 units.
However, domestic two-wheeler sales during this period declined 2 per cent to 19,41,855 units, indicating pressure on demand in the domestic two-wheeler market. In contrast, commercial vehicle exports recorded a strong growth of 53 per cent, highlighting the increasing role of exports in the company’s overall growth strategy.
