Automotive supplier Bosch has allegedly remedied its delivery problems with BMW. Since Wednesday, the car company get back electric steering, said Bosch.
The company was previously unable to supply enough steering gear for the BMW 1 Series, 2 Series, 3 Series and 4 Series for a week. BMW had therefore had to restrict its production in Munich, Leipzig, China and South Africa,
“The bottleneck was remedied in close cooperation between Bosch, BMW and the Italian supplier concerned,” said Bosch in a statement. The production of the cast housing in question had been restarted, so that the agreed amount of BMW could be delivered again. In the next few days and weeks, Bosch wants to catch up on the backlog of supplies as quickly as possible.
