Opel announces all dealer contracts

The automaker Opel has terminated all European traders contracts. As a result, the PSA subsidiary, which is undergoing refurbishment, wants to reach new agreements that could increase the performance and profitability of the distribution network, a company spokesman said. In Europe, about 1,600 contracts are terminated, with Germany accounting for 385.

Only twelve of these companies should not be made a new offer, announced Germany boss Jürgen Keller in an interview with the journal “Autohaus”. Therefore, there is no question of a thinning out of the distribution network. The new contracts are now being negotiated and Keller is expected to enter into force in early 2020.

The troubled automaker wants its refurbishment after the Acquisition by the Peugeot Group According to their own statements, without dismissals and plant closures.
