As part of a transformation plan for its plant in Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes), Hanon Systems (formerly Visteon and Ford) has just started a collective conventional disruption procedure which will lead to a reduction of 40 workstations on the voluntary basis.
Scheduled in 2016, this project plans to move the production of air conditioning components for the automotive industry to all aluminum by reducing to the bare minimum its plastics sector. The largest private employer in the prefecture of the Ardennes will therefore cut back on its workforce.
As this new industrial strategy gives priority to products with high added value but requires less labor, the indirect jobs of support services such as maintenance and quality will be mainly affected by this measure. By the end of 2018, the number of employees of the Korean group’s subsidiary will increase to 441 employees, with an average of 80 temporary employees.
