RCI Bank (Renault) buys 75% of fleet management company iCabbi

PARIS, Jun 19 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The financial division of the French automobile consortium Renault, RCI Bank and Services, has acquired 75% of the capital of the Irish technology management company of taxi fleets and vehicles with iCabbi driver, the company said in a statement.

The Renault group explained that iCabbi, which was founded in Ireland in 2010, is experiencing strong growth in the market and stressed that this company operates in different international regions, including the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

The operator provides a software to taxis and fleet companies that allows to calculate the itineraries of the clients and the availability of the drivers in real time, in order to optimize the management of their vehicle fleets.

In addition, iCabbi also has a reporting tool for companies of taxi fleets and vehicles with driver, in order to monitor changes in the different activities of your business.

Before this transaction, the CEO of RCI Bank and Services, Bruno Kintzinger, affirmed that the acquisition of a majority stake in iCabbi is part of the firm’s objective of becoming a service provider for mobility professionals.

“With more than 300 million journeys managed since its inception, iCabbi has very good knowledge of the market, which will help us to continue developing its business in line with the objectives of the Renault Group,” he added.
