Bosch has to issue correspondence with VW

Bosch has to give up its stalemate attitude: the district court Stuttgart has the auto supplier Bosch condemned internal documents related to the diesel Emissions scandal at VW issue. Bosch has so far wrongly relied on the right to refuse to give evidence, the competent chamber decided. Specifically, it is about e-mail change between employees of the supplier and Volkswagen Employees and a letter from the Bosch Legal Department to VW.

The proceedings initiated by VW investors are not directed against the supplier himself, but against the Volkswagen parent company Porsche SE. The role of Bosch in this litigation is only a side issue. The Porsche SE and VW accuse the investors of having informed the financial markets too late about the diesel drama that became known in September 2015 – which they reject.

Bosch announced that it would first wait for a written statement of reasons and then decide on further steps. It expressly reserves the right to appeal in order to defend the interests of the company.

Earlier, a court had already ruled that one Correspondence between VW and the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) had to be disclosed. The KBA had the files completely blackened taken over unaudited by VW.
