The registrations of electric vehicles (cars, quadricycles, commercial and industrial vehicles and buses) in Spain reached a volume of 820 units in August, which represents an increase of 10.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, according to data published by the Spanish Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Trucks (Anfac).
The deliveries of this type of vehicle until August stood at 7,740 units, which is almost double (+ 77%) the figures that were recorded between January and August 2017.
On the other hand, the registrations of hybrid vehicles reached a volume of 6,122 units in the eighth month of the current year, 40% more than the same month of the previous year.
So far this year, the Spanish market for hybrid vehicles stood at 51,522 units, which represents an increase of 41.3% when compared to the units registered in that period of 2017.
Overall, sales of electric and hybrid vehicles reached a volume of 6,942 units during the past month, 35.6% more, while in the accumulated year to August the figure was 59,262 units, 45.1% more .
